Welcome to 2017!

It’s been a roller coaster so far, and I *really, really* hope that in the end, the world will be a better place. (That’s me doing my best to stay positive!)

I’ll be honest, the election hit me hard. Everything since the big T took office has been even harder for me to process. I’ve never talked about politics here, yet the election results made me think about how I show up in the world. And what I encourage others to do.

You see, “self care” can be fantastic and enable you to share your gifts with the world, speak your heart, and create an amazing contribution to the planet. Or, it can merely be a distraction that takes up all your time and keeps you from what’s in your heart. Like waiting till you lose 10 pounds or get one more certification in your field.

If the goal is “self care” without a larger purpose behind it, there’s never an end. It’s easy to wait until life is *perfect* to take any action. It’s a way to say that you’re not quite ready.

So, even before I’m “perfect” or “ready”, I’m announcing some changes:

First, I will focus on writing. Daily. With the goal of encouraging you (and me) to speak up, embrace your talents and passion, and change the world.

Second, yoga will not be the focus of what I do online, though I am teaching locally. (Click here to see when and where.)

Third, I’ll be writing about a wide range of topics – from parenting to business to creativity to politics to whatever – and I’m excited to see how my writing develops. My goal is to present positive, thoughtful, and actionable ideas and resources.

If you’re still reading, then I know there’s something you’ve been wanting to share with the world. I hope you’ll stick around and play with me!

Oh, and before I forget…

A note on my online courses:

  • My online course, (Inner) Self Care, is still up and running, so you won’t lose access if you’re enrolled or were planning on it. I’ve lowered the price, however, as I won’t be actively coaching during the course. (That said, if you have questions or stuck spots, you can always just email me and I’ll help you out.) If you’re wanting to explore purpose-driven self care, it’s instrumental.
  • The free 30 day yoga challenge will live over with my other courses, and I’ll have a link for that shortly. It will be accessible via my website and Pinterest for the next few weeks. (Although if you’re getting the videos through Vimeo, those will remain the same.)

That’s it! I promise to not be such a stranger. And, once I get things set up, I’ll be writing everyday and sending you a weekly digest of sorts.

Expect some changes in the next few weeks.

With love,

PS. If you were wondering, my family is happily settled now back in the Seattle area. We’ve been in our new house for a month and we love it! There’s been a bit of transition time, of course, but everything is coming together smoothly. And I finally have an office of my own! (Hooray! Hooray!)
